Meteora Heights: Agia Triada (Holy Trinity) Monastery

-April 2024 Leaving early from the town of Kalambaka, we hiked through the woods to reach the Agia Triada Monastery — our first stop our Meteora journey. Today, there are six active monasteries open to the public in the Meteora region, and I must admit, Agia Triada is one of my favourites. Agia Triada (Holy Trinity) Monastery is definitely one of the most breath taking among the six active monasteries. Perched dramatically on a tall sandstone pillar, it rewards you with stunning panoramic views of the valley below. Built back in the 15th century, it’s known for its beautiful frescoes and peaceful atmosphere. Getting there takes a bit of effort — you’ll climb a steep path and stairs carved into the rock — but once you reach the top, it’s absolutely worth it. Credit to the owner Music: Nature Walk (Lesfm)
