Double bass masterclass by Professor Duncan McTier in which they work on the Intermezzo op. 9 núm. 2 by Glier with the student Joaquín Arrabal. Glier: 2 Morceaux for double bass and piano op. 9 - 1. Intermezzo Abstract: Professor McTier talks about dynamics, sound and contrast in phrasing. He comments that certain notes must be anticipated so that they do not come in late, being slightly ahead of the pulse, and always thinking forward. In some more expressive moments, more sound is necessary, not closing the phrase ending so much.
