I've always loved clothes, and I was more interested in working part-time at a clothing store than going to school in my younger days. Now I'm a housewife in my 40s, and I look back on those days with nostalgia. I decided to get serious about getting rid of my clothes, something I've never been confident about, and this led to this cleanup. It all started with advice I've received several times in the past: "Decide how many sets you want" and "Decide how many pieces you want to have." Until recently, it seemed like a distant future, and I still felt it was difficult for me. Of course, it's still a high ideal for me, but I was able to decide to try to get rid of my clothes so that I can get a little closer to a clothing situation that I find comfortable. In this cleanup, instead of blindly getting rid of items one by one, depending on whether I'll wear them or not, I tried to create a closet that is easy to choose while still retaining the fun of choosing. I'm sure there's still more I can reduce, and I'm still not very good at throwing things away or keeping things, but I feel like I'm a lot more comfortable than before I started cleaning up.
