Australia Post Chairman refuses to resign following tense Senate inquiry
Australia Post Chairman Lucio Di Bartolomeo has refused to resign following a Senate Inquiry where embattled former CEO of the mail service called for him to step aside. The Cartier watch scandal and Christine Holgate’s exit from Australia Post were examined on Tuesday during a three-hour Senate inquiry. Mr Di Bartolomeo said, “I think Australia Post has been taken through a very difficult patch and my view is until I believe differently, I will not be resigning”. “I certainly don’t believe it will help. I think it would further hinder the organization going forward.”
