Scotsman Returns To The Lancs

Hello & Welcome to Harnetty Railways In this program we have 2 days of filming on The East Lancashire Railway during the 2 weekends of arguably the most famous locomotive. The National Railway Museum's 60103 Flying Scotsman was making a welcome to the line for the 1st time since 2023 during the loco's 100th birthday year. During the 2 days of operating Scotsman was supported by 2 of the ELR's resident fleet Bury Standard 4 Group's BR Standard tank 80097 & Andy Booth's Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway A Class 52322 on the local support services. Scotsman during our visit performed really well with 9 MK1's in tow & thanks to the crews for putting on a great performance.
