Just make sure it's long enough to support your head, spine, and pelvis. This exercise stretches tight chest muscles, opens your posture, and puts your spine in good alignment. You just need to lie on your back with your spine directly over the foam roller, knees bent, and arms slightly extended at your sides. Relax completely. 3 minutes. If you find the foam roller too firm, you can use a blanket or rolled-up towel instead. James also explains two tricks to deepen the stretch. After 3 minutes on the foam roller, you can calmly get up and take a walk. You should feel straighter, more flexible, and it will be easier to breathe deeply.
