Boating and Camping on Beautiful Cypress Island, Washington

Washington's Cypress Island is secluded, covering 5500 acres with only 40 people living on it. We've boated, kayaked, camped, and hiked on Cypress numerous times, rarely encountering anyone on the many miles of forested hiking trails. Our video ends with a hike up Eagle Cliff, which provides spectacular views of the Salish Sea and surrounding San Juan Islands. You can find more information in my blog. https://curtremington.com/cypress-isl... Our little, unsinkable Boston Whaler is as large a boat as we can fit in our carport's very limited space. It is usually dwarfed by the yachts, ferries, and tankers we encounter in the Salish Sea. As an avid sea kayaker, I've learned to carefully check wind and weather forecasts along with tide and current charts. If you want to get to Cypress and lack a boat, Island Express can shuttle you from Skyline Marina for $43 each way. They provide service to a variety of islands in the San Juans and have room for plenty of gear, including kayaks for an additional fee. We plan to add many more videos on meditation, adventures in nature, and travel. Please like, comment, and subscribe.
