The small capital city of Chainat located in north central Thailand is rarely ever visited by foreigners and is a beautiful city to explore for a few days if you seek authentic Thai culture. There are two hotels located within walking distance of the bus stop across from the hospital. There are many excellent places throughout the city to eat. Average meals range from 25 to baht 60 baht. Tuk Tuk service within the city area ranges from 30 to 40 baht for most rides.
