Looking for the Catalina Island Bison Herd

Recently we headed to California's Catalina Island, a resort destination since the 1800s that is part of the Channel Islands. There we took a tour in search of the island's famous bison herd. Bison weren't historically found in California, though there are a few wild herds in the state currently. The herd on Catalina Island has been here a century after being imported by a motion picture company then escaping into the island's wilderness where the herd was able to grow. In this video we take a bison expedition tour in search of the herd, taking us into Catalina's wilderness to the other side of the island.
