Today (the 9th), the weather across the country will be generally clear, with temperatures typical of early summer for this time of year. Current temperatures are 16.2 degrees in Seoul, 13.6 degrees in Gangneung, and 15.4 degrees in Daejeon, making it cool as it is generally 1 to 6 degrees lower than yesterday morning. During the day, temperatures will rise to 28 degrees in Seoul and Daejeon, 29 degrees in Daegu, and 30 degrees in Gwangju, making it somewhat hot. As the sky clears during the day, the UV index will reach "very high" nationwide, and dangerous levels in some southern regions. Dense fog will persist in the inland areas of Gangwon Province until this morning. Due to atmospheric instability, showers of around 5mm are expected in the afternoon in the mountainous regions of Gangwon, the southern inland areas, and the northeastern mountainous regions of Gyeongbuk. Additionally, strong swells are expected along the coast until today, so caution is advised regarding safety accidents along the coast.
