The Education Revolution Changing Africa | Bigger Than Bitcoin | Full Documentary
An education revolution is happening in Kenya, and it is bigger than Bitcoin. In this full documentary, Bigger Than Bitcoin explores how grassroots Bitcoin education is creating real impact across Kenya — from Nairobi and Kibera to Githurai, Biashara, Mitaboni, and Machakos. Through local educators, circular economies, merchant adoption, youth programs, women-led initiatives, and waste management projects, this film shows how Bitcoin education can become a tool for empowerment, financial sovereignty, and community transformation. This is not a story about price charts or speculation. It is a story about people learning, building, teaching, saving, earning, and using Bitcoin in practical ways that meet the needs of their communities. Featuring the work of Kenyan Bitcoin educators and communities connected through My First Bitcoin, Bitcoin Dada, The Core, BitBiashara, EcoBitz, Usafi Boys, and other grassroots initiatives, Bigger Than Bitcoin reveals what happens when open-source education meets local leadership. The work happening in Kenya is part of a much larger global movement. My First Bitcoin is helping make independent Bitcoin education free, open-source, and accessible to communities around the world. Through the Bitcoin Diploma, educators are given a foundation they can use, adapt, translate, and bring into their own local context. That is how this work scales: not through centralized control, but through many people taking responsibility for education in the places they know best.
