LBI Fishing Report - June 16, 2026

Mid-June fishing conditions continue to evolve on Long Beach Island. In this update, Greg confirms surf water temperatures in the mid to lower 60's and discusses what that means for local fishing. Striped bass and black drum are still being caught from the surf on clam, while summer species including weakfish, blowfish and sheepshead are beginning to show. Sea bass fishing is a great option on wrecks and reef sites. Tuna fishing is firing up and we got word of a giant bluefin tuna that was caught today.
