Marcha Gualteriana encerrou com brilho e glória as Festas da Cidade de Guimarães

www.guimaraesdigital.pt The Gualteriana March brought the Guimarães City Festivities to a brilliant and glorious close this evening. The color, brilliance, and talent of the workers enchanted the audience, who enjoyed the various artistic moments. The meticulous attention to detail reflected in each of the 13 floats, featuring representations of some of Guimarães's iconic buildings, captured everyone's attention. Particularly noteworthy was the float dedicated to the city, which represented the monuments of the Sacred Hill, with its front alluding to the Church of Santo António dos Capuchos, as well as the float commemorating the centenary of Café Oriental. The monumentality, the commemoration of the bicentenary of writer Camilo Castelo Branco's birth, the whimsical Encanto float, the allusion to the past, present, and future with floats dedicated to the European Green Capital and the 15th anniversary of Vitrus Ambiente... contrasted with the moments of criticism and satire of the live performances, performed by various theater groups from Guimarães. And there was no shortage of applause for the extras and the workers.
