Pull-Apart Cinnamon Bread One package is dissolved in 1/4 cup lukewarm water One cup scalded milk One and 1/3 cup sugar 1/3 cup butter melted 1/2 teaspoon salt Three eggs well beaten 4 cups flour Melted butter 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup nuts 3 teaspoons cinnamon Soak yeast in warm water. Add sugar, butter and salt to scalded milk. Cool to luke warm then add yeast, eggs and flour, beat thoroughly. Cover and let rise until doubled, pinch off pieces of dough, The size of a walnut, dip in melted butter. Mix sugar, nuts and cinnamon together and Roll buttered dough in mixture. Pile balls loosely in ungreased angel food cake pan. Let rise for 30 minutes. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes, then at 3:50° for 30 minutes. Turn pan upside down immediately when done baking. Serve warm. Corn Pone One cup cornmeal 1/4 cup flour 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt Two eggs 4 tablespoons sugar 1/2 cup milk 4 tablespoons melted butter Mix and sift dry ingredients, except sugar. Beat the eggs, then stir in sugar and milk. Add dry ingredients and melted butter. Bake in well greased 9 x 12” pan or a cast iron skillet.
