Oldhammer Space Marines painted as 30k Iron Hands

How I painted my Rogue Trader era Space Marines as Iron Hands for 30k. I have had a bunch of RTB01 plastic “beakie” space marines in my loft for a long time. All this hype about the 2nd edition of the Horus Heresy finally made me take the plunge and settle on the Iron Hands as the legion I wanted to paint. Inspired by the Forgeworld colour scheme for an oily metallic black, I had a go with the rather eclectic mix of paints I had to hand. It was a nice change of pace from the ranks of Napoleonics I have been painting for clients recently, and doing something out of the comfort zone every once in a while helps to keep the painting mojo going!
