Wave Flying in the Pyrenees
North wind in Font Romeu is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get. This time it was just in the right direction so that it was still possible to takeoff from the south side, and just the right intensity that once you were high enough you could surf the waves of the northern ridges. During the summer months, the air mass is somewhat chaotic as the strong thermals and the wind mix in often turbulent ways, but these conditions can also happen during the winter, which makes for a much nicer experience.
