Again, Don't Panik. Avec Médine | Entretiens géopo

"My slogan, my motto, is Don't Panic!!." Through his lyrics, rapper Médine encourages society not to give in to "moral panic," meaning to avoid any disproportionate and collective reaction to cultural and generally minority practices. Committed to the fight against all forms of racism, his rap songs denounce, in particular, social pressures and discrimination against the Arab-Muslim community in France. Accused of communitarianism, his activism regularly earns him the target of harsh criticism in the French political and media sphere, particularly from those who refuse to talk about Islamophobia. His commitment to Palestinian rights aggravates his case for the same people.
