I prefer the banana baby food over using fresh bananas; I tried using fresh bananas, and they do work but there is a slight difference in the way it feels in my hair and it doesn't detangle as easily as the baby food. It does, however provide the same benefits as the baby food. Benefits I've seen: Good detangler, adds shine and it strengthens. Doesn't strip my sebum. If you decide to try this as a conditioning treatment remember to thoroughly rinse it out of your hair. Although it's just baby food, you still are putting food in your hair and it can still spoil...
