Martin Scorsese's invisible force: Thelma Schoonmaker
Thelma Schoonmaker has been Martin Scorsese’s editor for four decades. Together they’ve made twenty feature films. Yet, she has always stayed modest and made herself invisible, foregrounding her co-workers. She deserves more. Let's look at two of the greatest examples of her editing, both from the same excellent film: Raging Bull (1980). Made by Menno Kooistra for VoorDeFilm.
