Banks 18 Gauge Air Nailer from Harbor Freight - Is It Reliable Enough To Handle The Job?

I've been using our Banks 18 Gauge Air Nailer for over 2 years now, so it's about time to do a review. Starting on putting up paneling and a DIY floor in our old farmhouse and now finishing up an elevated cabin build, this air nailer has been a reliable tool for us! The Banks 18 Gauge Air Nailer is available from Harbor Freight for about $30 (regular price slightly higher, sale price lower). It's a very affordable air nailer, though it's not really built for bigger jobs (16 Gauge is more common and 15 gauge is typical for thicker trim). But I have to say it has held up well for us and the price is hard to beat. Here's a link to the current model of the Banks 18 Gauge Air Nailer - https://www.harborfreight.com/18-gaug... (this is not a compensated link - just wanted to provide it if you're interested). Here's some information from the Harbor Freight website on this air nailer: "The BANKS® 18 GA Brad Nailer is ideal for fastening all types of trim and molding. The lightweight, narrow body tool is easy to handle, making it ideal for floor molding and cabinet trim. The brad nailer has 100 brad magazine with a re-load indicator window so you know when to load more brads. Fires 18 gauge brads from 5/8 in. to 2 in.. -Great drive power for fastening all types of trim -Lightweight and narrow tool design -Ergonomic comfort grip -Re-load indicator window -360 degree adjustable exhaust" This model (mine is a couple of years old) includes a carrying case. We've used our Banks Air Nailer a lot recently to build our elevated cabin (visit our channel for more information on that - it's great!) and it's been very helpful to allow for an easy installation of our shiplap walls and custom floor (1x6 stained boards - it looks amazing!).
