Late Night Saturday: History & Commentary for SNL S1E1

In this installment of Late Night Saturday I discuss the beginnings of NBC's Saturday Night (later Saturday Night Live), and discuss Episode One of the series, hosted by George Carlin. I've attempted to avoid reading other folks' critiques and accounts of a show before I watch an episode, but when my stack of books and magazines fail me, I do occasionally need to reference fan-sites. Sometimes, they're the only sources of information available on the topic, but I'll attempt to make sure any facts or claims I pull from other commentator's material are factually accurate, and I'll try to cite any such references if I use them extensively for any given episode. I'm initially uploading six videos, and I plan to upload a new one most weeks on Sunday. I hope you enjoy what I hope will be a long-running series.
