Jeannie Welliver, Department of Public Works Senior Project Manager for the City of Richmond, is interviewed by Marvin L. Hicks, Richmond Public Library's Community Memory Fellow, about her role in the removal of Richmond's Confederate monuments. This interview was recorded on August 13, 2024 and chronicles Ms. Welliver's role as Senior Project Manager, her duties, and perspectives as it pertains to the removal of Richmond's Confederate memorials in the Summer of 2020. This interview was filmed onsite at Richmond's Wastewater Treatment Plant, the location of the monuments after their disassembly, and features an exploration of the monuments in their most current state.
