Beginning - an aerial act by Laura Lawless Circus

I choreographed and filmed a phrase of this aerial circus act in each trimester of my pregnancy. It is set to the beautiful ‘Optimist’ by Zoe Keating. The unique apparatus was created by Charissa Wilcox of flying solo circus, she calls it the curly Q. I wanted to continue making art while I was growing a little human and to create something that I could one day show my son about my journey. Leo, this is for you.
