Két azonos inga között a csavarrugó jelenti a csatolást. A csatolás erőssége a rugó erősségén múlik. Az ingákat indítsuk el úgy hogy kitérésük nagysága és a kitérítésük iránya egyezzen meg. Az így kialakult „egyenütemű” lengésnél figyeljük meg, hogy a csatolórugó hossza nem változik, tehát időben állandó lesz a csatolóerő. Ennek eredményeként mindkét inga megtartja kezdeti energiáját.
