We visited Upala Agrícola to learn about its cultivation, handling, and care, and discover how it achieves such a special quality. The main producing countries are China, the United States, Brazil, Thailand, the Philippines, and Mexico. Global pineapple production doubled between 1948 and 1965 and has been increasing rapidly since then. Aside from its importance as a fruit, pineapple has also long been cultivated as a fiber plant.
