I recently visited the Bay Area in northern California for the first time in my life and I had to play some table tennis! California is known to be a hub for table tennis in the United States because of all the great players living there, and the amount of clubs there are. I didn't have much time to play, so I signed up for a group training session for players over 1800 USATT rating at the 888 table tennis club. There were so many good players and even though the group training was for 1800+, there were so many 2400+ players there all practicing together doing the same drills. Is this why California produces so many great players? Leave a comment on your thoughts. I wish I had more time for table tennis because I wanted to check out other clubs in the Bay Area.
