"i'm on a one way train headed far away, but you're still on my mind." . she is his EVEREST, can you guys BELIEEEVE?! i already keenly feel the loss of this unbelievable show and world that jesse armstrong so generously created for our viewing and analysis pleasure. that includes these two and their uncannily precise ability to compromise my emotional and psychological well-being by sharing a scene, mentioning each other offhandedly, or simply existing, really. sigh. a love story for the ages. i never really expected a happy ending for these two, because succession is first and foremost a tragic narrative, so i'm extremely satisfied with what we DID get! #martinigate is a dub in my book! you can't tell me that gerri didn't waltz into that bar and demand that roman begin making the necessary moves to earn her forgiveness, which would in turn lead to his every wish being fulfilled by becoming gerri's trophy boyfriend/husband/lapdog! that's what i got outta the finale! yes sir!
