Non è la Rai was an Italian television program created by Gianni Boncompagni and Irene Ghergo and directed by Boncompagni himself. It aired for four seasons from September 9, 1991, to June 30, 1995. The program, aimed at Generation X youth and quickly becoming a cultural phenomenon in the 1990s, was broadcast live from Studio 1 of the Centro Safa Palatino in Rome. The variety show featured dances, telephone games, and songs, all performed by a group of teenage girls. The first season of the program was hosted by Enrica Bonaccorti, the second by Paolo Bonolis, and the last two by Ambra Angiolini. The first daily entertainment program on the Fininvest networks to use live broadcast, it launched important figures from the world of theater, music, cinema and television and was broadcast on Canale 5 in its first season and for part of the second, before finding maximum success on Italia 1, where it was moved on January 11, 1993.
