To get to know and visit Morro de São Paulo, you will need to choose between a catamaran, a speedboat or semi-land (with land and sea transportation) or even an air taxi, which is more expensive. The catamaran is the most popular way for tourists to get to Morro de São Paulo. Transportation departs every day of the week from the Salvador Tourist Maritime Terminal, right in front of Mercado Modelo. There are 3 companies that operate the catamarans, Biotur, Ilha Bela and Farol do Morro, each with a specific schedule. To purchase your ticket, you can do so with Bahia-tema, which you can buy online. The ticket price per person is R$152 round trip, including boarding fees. Please note that you will need to purchase the TPA, an Environmental Preservation fee of R$50. This fee can be purchased online. There are 5 daily departures from Salvador to Morro de São Paulo. The departure times are 8:30, 9:00, 10:30, 13:00 and 14:30. Passengers must be there 1 hour before boarding. The departure times from Morro de São Paulo to Salvador are from 11:30 to 15:00.
