Resonance Structures of N2O (dinitrogen monoxide, nitrous oxide)
Nitrous oxide, N2O, has three valid Lewis structures. The most stable of these structures has Nitrogen in the middle, double bonded on one side to another nitrogen and double bonded on the other side to an oxygen atom. However, there are two other valid structures, which are less stable but still contribute to the overall resonance hybrid. I draw them for you in this video. Check me out: http://www.chemistnate.com
