The system is designed for potentially explosive and demanding industrial environments where respiratory protection, head protection, eye and face protection, and optional hearing protection may be required. See the overview of certifications and approvals below. The PAPR blower unit provides a continuous supply of filtered air and features an integrated smart display, three alarm modes and constant airflow control. The G20-V safety helmet is equipped with an impact-resistant visor tested to EN 166 BT, adjustable airflow direction and an adjustable head suspension for a comfortable fit. Together, the components form a complete PAPR system that helps protect the wearer against harmful particles and, when fitted with the correct filter, selected gases and vapours. The G20-V helmet and visor also provide protection against impact, penetration hazards and molten-metal splashes, while supporting comfort and freedom of movement throughout the working day. The loose-fitting G20-V headtop can be used by people with facial hair and glasses, provided that the equipment is correctly fitted and used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. — Product features Intrinsically safe PAPR system with ATEX and IECEx certification Suitable for appropriately classified hazardous areas where hydrogen or acetylene may be present* EN 166 BT-tested visor – high impact resistance and clear vision EN 397-approved safety helmet – protection against impact, penetration hazards and molten-metal splashes Smart display and three alarm modes – monitors battery status, filter loading and airflow Optional hearing protection available Low weight and high wearer comfort – combined weight below 2.3 kg Up to 11 hours of battery runtime at the lowest airflow setting Industries and applications Petrochemical and gas production facilities where hydrogen may create an explosive atmosphere Battery manufacturing and energy storage Offshore and maintenance work in hazardous areas and Ex zones Mining and underground work Pharmaceutical and chemical industries International companies operating under IECEx requirements *The IIC equipment classification relates to ignition protection in explosive atmospheres. It does not mean that the respirator filters remove hydrogen or acetylene. Filter selection and use in hazardous areas must be based on the contaminants present, the area classification, the equipment’s Ex marking and the workplace risk assessment. — We have more than 40 years of experience in gas detection, respiratory protection, fire-extinguishing equipment, service and maintenance, pressure testing, courses and training—all to create safety in hazardous environments.
