Fixing and Upgrading this Old ThinkPad. Was it Worth it? (Thinkpad T530)
This is a thinkpad T530 that I bought on ebay for $23. I bought it because I already had an extra screen for want, and I wanted to use it to fix one with a damaged screen. Originally this laptop came with an i5-3320m and 4gb of ram, but I decided to upgrade it to an I7-3520m and 16gb of ram as well as a 256gb Liteon MSATA ssd and an extra 500gb hard drive for storage. Overall while this laptop is over 12 years old it’s still usable and is even capable of some light gaming with the HD 4000 graphics. It’s far from the latest and greatest, but I’m glad that I was able to breathe some new life into it.
