It’s essential to create a supportive and respectful environment where they feel comfortable expressing themselves. The purpose of these mock interviews is to give aspiring pilots a realistic glimpse of what an actual aviation interview may look like, including the type of questions they could face. The answers may not always be perfect, and that’s completely okay. These sessions are designed for learning, growth, and improvement. After every interview, we provide detailed feedback to help students understand their strengths, improve their weak areas, and avoid common mistakes in their real interviews. In this video, I had the pleasure of interviewing Lakshita, an aspiring pilot with a strong passion for aviation. She shared her journey, inspirations, and the challenges she has faced along the way. One of the most valuable takeaways from our conversation was the importance of time management and handling stress effectively, especially during high-pressure situations like board examinations and pilot training. Lakshita emphasized how important it is to remain calm and composed — a quality that is extremely important in aviation. We also discussed the significance of following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), which play a crucial role in ensuring safety in the aviation industry. Throughout the interview, her determination, discipline, and passion for flying were clearly visible. She also spoke about how her father, being a pilot himself, inspired her to pursue this career path.
