Indiana Dunes State Park Hike - We got to see Chicago from Lake Michigan

On our way to Chicago in February we made a quick stop to mark off another National Park. We stopped at the visitor center for our stamp and to get a new National Park Pass but then decided to hike and spend our time in the State Park. Taking the advice of the ranger we hiked trail number 7 through the wooden dune area that took us to the shore line. It was a clear day which allowed us to see Chicago from the beach. While cold we enjoyed a walk on the beach and then took the board walk trail back to the visitor center.
