Vaarroute naar het IJ, via Zaandam en het Noordzeekanaal

A trip of about 3.5 hours, including return and time spent in the locks. The route winds through a nice part of Zaandam, the old sea lock "Hanenpadsluis", and the port area of Amsterdam. It passes four locations where one can enter the canals of old Amsterdam-Center. It provide a nice view of all the important landmarks along the IJ.
