The Morning Transfer Returns, a BN Auto Rack, a CSX Local and NS 153 with Mid Train DPU

We start this video with the morning transfer still sitting at the signal at Howell wye as the NS auto rack that came off the east leg is passing Jefferson street. The transfer gets the green and heads out. Then we see the CSX local with standard cab power we saw sitting under the bridge earlier heading into the yard. Then the NS transfer train backs into Inman with lots of coil cars in the mix. We see on the CSX auto rack that's sitting there an old Burlington Northern auto rack. BN covered hoppers are fairly common and the occasional boxcar but I haven't seen a BN auto rack in a while. So we fly down and zoom in for a better look. My first HO scale train set I ever purchased was BN. Then a boring NS auto rack passes. I don't know what happened to the head end of the video so no idea what the power was. The next train is from a few days later. The weather determines what days I can shoot and for how long, so we needed some additional video to finish this one and here we are on another morning. Like the last time there's a train coming before I can get everything setup so we at least catch it from the ground with the drone while I plug in all the batteries. Once that's done I can take off. It's a decent size NS freight. Then we see a CSX crew coming out of the yard with some sand hoppers for the sand plant. While they work we hear a freight coming off the Greenville. It's one of my favorites I rarely get to see these days. NS 153 with one unit up front and one DPU mid train. 153 doesn't always have DPU's unless it's a long one. 154 needs them more often as it fights the rolling hills heading north that tend to break couplers.
