Unveiling The Magic Of Ibis Styles Hobart: A Must-see Hotel Review!

This is a review of the Accor Ibis Styles Hotel in Hobart. We spent a week here in late 2023. It is quite a new hotel, opened in 2017 with 296 rooms. It has paid parking available, a decent restaurant on site as well as a 25m indoor pool and gym. It cost us approx. $2,100 for a 7 night stay including breakfast ~ An average of $300 AUD per night. We received a room upgrade and complimentary drinks on check-in curtesy of my Accor Plus membership. This is the busiest peak time in Hobart with the Sydney to Hobart, Melbourne to Hobart and Tasmanian Taste of Summer Festival all on at the same time, as well as the proximity to Xmas. This was the best and cheapest accomodation we could find - there were very few Airbnb's available and the prices of them were more than double what we paid. Its perfectly located just a 10 minute walk from Hobart's waterfront and Salamanca Place. The groom was well appointed, roomy with a great bathroom, air conditioner and comfortable bedding. Breakfast at the ground floor restaurant was buffet style, adequate but un-inspiring. We ate twice at My Good Guy, the Asian Fusion Restaurant. The food was very good but service on Xmas day dinner was very very slow. We received complimentary drinks as an apology. That and the average breakfast were the only negatives. They had a very serviceable gym, fantastic 25 m indoor pool and not one but two saunas. I highly recommend this hotel.
