What if Jon Snow sailed to Meereen, bonded with Drogon, and burned the slave masters at Daenerys's side as her betrothed? Let's explore this alternate timeline together, in the video. Jon Snow stands atop the Wall, the smoke of Hardhome still clinging to his cloak. In his hand he holds a bundle Samwell Tarly delivered at dusk, the last writings of Maester Aemon Targaryen. Jon reads them by candlelight in his solar with Ghost asleep at his boots. The dragon must stand against the cold, or the world will drown in night. Find her. He summons Davos Seaworth. Davos: "You mean to sail to Essos." Jon: "I mean to find the dragon queen. Aemon wrote with his last breath that she is the only fire left in this world that remembers what we are facing, and I have learned to believe old men who study things the rest of us forget." Davos: "A bastard of Winterfell sailing into the throne room of a Targaryen with three dragons. You'll forgive me, Lord Commander, but that sounds like the start of a song that ends badly." Jon: "I am not going to her as a lord. I am going as a beggar. The dead are coming, Ser Davos. I have seen them. I have felt them. I will kneel in the dirt of a slave city if it brings her dragons north." Davos: "And if she laughs at you?" Jon: "Then I will keep begging." Davos: "And if she puts you in a cell to rot?" Jon: "Then someone has to know I tried. That is why I want you with me. You have crossed half the seas in this world. You know the men who pour the wine in Braavos and the men who lift the chains in Lys. I cannot do this alone." Davos: "Lad, I served a king who burned a child for a god that never answered. I have watched men make the wrong choice for the right reason and the right choice for the wrong reason, and I cannot tell you which is worse. But I will tell you this. I will come with you. Someone has to keep you from getting murdered between here and Slaver's Bay. My king is dead, and the realm I served him for is dying, and a man my age does not get many chances to do something that matters. You are doing something that matters, Jon Snow. I would like to be in the room when it happens." Jon: "Then we sail at first light." They take ship out of Eastwatch on a grey morning. Jon stands at the rail watching the Wall recede, and Davos joins him in the salt wind. Davos: "First time south of that ice in your life, lad?" #drogon #gameofthrones #asoiaf
