The National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC) has opened an investigation into the four gas suppliers—Naturgy, Endesa, Iberdrola, and TotalEnergies—that offer the regulated gas tariff to determine if they are hindering their customers from accessing this price, which is capped by the government and lower than those on the free market. Naturgy, Endesa, Iberdrola, and TotalEnergies are required to offer this tariff, known as the Last Resort Tariff (TUR), but given the high demand, their customer service departments are overwhelmed.
