Launch of ASIL on the ILC: A Conversation with ILC Members

ASIL reaffirms its commitment to the codification and progressive development of international law, of particular importance in times when some states, including the US, are reflecting on their participation in United Nations bodies addressing international law, including the International Law Commission. We are therefore launching the “ASIL on the ILC” project, an opportunity for Society members to learn from and interact with the members of the International Law Commission. This initial meeting will be a conversation with current ILC members regarding the ILC’s current programme of work, its operations more generally, its interactions with states, as well as the possible role of civil society. We will explore ways that the Society can further support the critical mission of the ILC.
