Roger Corman, Tobe Hooper, Joe Zito, Albert Pyun, James Cameron and David Fincher all tried to get a movie made. For that matter Orion, Cannon and CarolCo all put forth effort to make a film.Then both Sam Raimi's franchise and the Amazing Spider-man series had planned sequels abandoned.
