Whoopie Pie - Maine - Best Dessert in Every State Episode #1

On my first episode of 50 desserts from 50 states I show you how to make Whoopie Pies, one of my favorite desserts from Maine. I make a classic whoopie pie and one with peanut butter filling. They are actually pretty easy to make and taste great. If any of the items are unavailable due to heavy demand, you can either select the “Let me know when I can buy this” link or contact me for updates. 🍽Recipe: ►Chocolate Whoopie Pie 1/2 cup Crisco 1 1/2 cup Sugar 2 Eggs Cream together 1/2 cup Cocoa 1/2 cup Hot (boiling) Water Whip into creamed mixture 1/2 tsp Salt 1 tsp Vanilla 1 tsp Baking Powder 1 tsp Baking Soda 2 3/4 cup Flour 1/2 cup Milk Whip in till combined Bake at 350⁰ for 15mins. Immediately remove from cookie sheet to a cooling rack. Let come to room temp. Assemble Woople Pie with filling of your choice. ▶︎Original Filling 1 1/2 cup Crisco 1 1/2 cup Powder Sugar 1 tsp Vanilla 3 TBS Milk Whip together Add 1 1/2 cup Marshmallow Fluff Whip till just combined ▶︎Peanut Butter Filling 3/4 cup Crisco 3/4 cup Peanut Butter 1 1/2 cup Powder Sugar 1tsp Vanilla 3 TBS Milk Whip it up. #PracticalCookingwithKatie #WhoopiePie #MaineWhoopiePie #PamperedChefProductDemonstrations #BestDessertinEveryState
