In this video, we document the removal of 3 rain trees (trembesi) standing in a row, using two chainsaws: the heavy-duty Stihl MS 881 and the agile Stihl MS 261. Here is the breakdown of each tree in the operation: 1. The First Tree (210 cm / 6.9 ft Circumference): This tree was relatively simple and straightforward, giving us a smooth start to the project. 2. The Second Tree (160 cm / 5.2 ft Circumference): This one posed a slight challenge during felling. The tree got hung up on its way down, getting stuck before reaching the ground. Clearing this hung log required careful cutting to safely dislodge it. 3. The Third Tree (250 cm / 8.2 ft Circumference - The Main Challenge): This old giant was the most difficult tree of the day due to three critical factors: Pre-Felling Pruning: We had to prune the heavy limbs first to balance the crown weight and prevent the main log from splitting upon ground impact. Sharp Wild Overgrowth: The branches of this old tree were densely covered in sharp wild vines, making climbing and pruning very obstructive and painful. Property Line Boundary: The final drop had to fall precisely inline with the row of trees along the strict property border, requiring exact directional notch control.
