Beginner Paper Mache - Tools, Materials, and Making Clay

In this video I go over common tools and materials used to create paper mache sculptures. I also show you how to make two variations of paper mache clay. Tool and materials used for paper mache art: hot glue gun/glue sticks, cardboards, newspaper, markers, pencils, scissors, utility blade, plastic grocery bags, household kitchen items for smoothing and texturing clay, paper mache paste, paper mache clay, white PVA glue, or wood glue, drywall joint compound, cellulose fiber insulation, toilet paper, paper towels, hand mixer, bowls, paint brushes, water. Scarecrow Jo's studio clay recipe: (these measurements are approximate) 1 to 11/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup white PVA glue or wood glue, 1/2 cup drywall joint compound, 1 and 1/2 cups water, several handfuls of cellulose fiber insulation. Toilet paper paper mache clay: (these measurements are approximate) 1 amd 1/2 cups damp toilet paper, 1/4 to 1/2 cup of white PVA glue, or wood glue, 1 cup drywall hoint compound (DO NOT use DAP beand), two cups of flour (add more if needed). thank you for warching!!!
