Per Nielsen, 'My Way' (J. Revaux/G. Thibaut)

Per Nielsen (1954) is a popular and classical Danish trumpet player. In addition to his solo career and his tours, he has been a member and main trumpeter of Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester (the South Jutland Symphony Orchestra). He is considered one of the greatest trumpeters of all time. 'My Way' was written in 1967 by the French composer Jacques Revaux (1940) with lyrics by Gilles Thibaut (1927-2000) and Claude François (1939-1978). The English lyrics were written by the Canadian-American singer, songwriter and actor Paul Anka (1941). He dedicated the song to the American singer and actor Frank Sinatra (1915-1998). It became, since then, his signature song. Recorded in the album 'My Way' (2005).
