Study of the Gospel at Home - May 11, 2026 | Alexandre Bulhões - Spiritism in Practice Simple tips to improve your Spiritist practice with the study of the Gospel. The practice of studying the Gospel at home aims at the inner harmonization of those who do it, their home, and the entire environment around them. It is a tool to intensify the effort of each and every one, for good, to face adversities and strengthen their moral-spiritual capacities. This study consists of four stages: 1- opening prayer; 2- reading of a text from the Gospel, opened randomly; 3- individual reflection (if alone) or shared reflection (if two or more are present), focusing on everyday situations; 4- closing prayer. Note: a period of no more than 30 minutes is recommended so that it is not tiring. Comments on the study: [1] - It serves to create a good harmony among all those present (incarnate and non-incarnate), aiding intuition for reflection; [2] - Random opening is recommended, allowing spirituality to guide us on where to open. Some prefer sequential opening, claiming it makes more sense. However, this would prevent us from using intuition - essential to the study process; [3.a] - The procedure is the same for individual or collective study. However, if there are 2 or more people (animals are always welcome), reflections can be shared; [3.b] - Certainly, this is not the time for confrontations of ideas - only the expression, without judgment, of one's thoughts will be necessary, for those who so desire; [4] - Gratitude for the spiritual support obtained in the study. IMPORTANT: The practice of the Study of the Gospel at Home should not be transformed into a mediumistic meeting. It is a moment for reflection and harmonization only!
