Revelations form Unity's Diary. Unity Mitford, one of Lord Redesdale's six daughters and a niece of Winston Churchill, sought to outshine her sister Diana, who was married to Sir Oswald Mosley, leader of the British Union of Fascists. Unity became acquainted with Hitler by regularly visiting his lunch spot in Munich until he noticed her. He invited her to events including the 1936 Berlin Olympics and provided her with an apartment in Munich. While historians doubt they had a sexual relationship, she met Hitler over 150 times, each recorded in her diaries, and by doing so quickly joined his inner circle. What could go wrong?
