Live "Ensinando pensamento crítico: sabedoria prática", de bell hooks

"All the topics discussed in this book arose from conversations with teachers and students. Although they are not connected by a central theme, they all stem from our collective desire to understand how to transform the classroom into a place of strong engagement and intense learning." With the support of Ação Educativa, Editora Elefante has released another work by bell hooks in Brazil. As in other books where she discusses the theme of education, the author critically engages with Paulo Freire to construct an overview of the practice of freedom through the creation of learning communities marked by dialogue and a relationship of equality between teachers and students. In addition to recalling memories of her trajectory as a student during and after the racial segregation regime in the United States, including her time at prestigious universities that were not usually attended by Black people, bell hooks summarizes in this book much of what she learned during her thirty years as a teacher. There are 32 "lessons" to be applied inside and outside the classroom.
