This is the inspiring true story of Sankirtan das (Sankirtan Prabhu) from the Czech Republic. Raised without a firm belief in God, young Sankirtan explored memory training, meditation, yoga, and Chinese spiritual systems like Qigong, Taichi, and Buddhism, searching for the meaning of life. But nothing satisfied his heart—until one day in 1999, at age 17, he found Srila Prabhupada’s books in a public library. Reading just a few pages of Life Comes From Life and the Bhagavad Gita, he felt a deep realization: 🕉️ “Krishna is God, and I will serve Him forever.” From that moment, his journey was full of adventure, sacrifice, and divine guidance: 🚲 Cycling 120 km to his first ISKCON farm 🪷 Learning to cook prasadam and follow strict spiritual practices 💇 Facing family and school opposition for his devotional lifestyle 📚 Joining the brahmachari ashram and distributing Srila Prabhupada’s books 🛕 Becoming the first Czech disciple of Bhakti Vikas Swami 🇮🇳 Traveling to India for training in Salem 🏡 Establishing Prabhupada Bhavan preaching center in Brno 🌾 Developing Nava Gokula Farm Community, a spiritual village for devotees and families 💛 Family Transformation by Krishna’s Mercy By Krishna’s mercy, even his parents—who were initially very opposed—gradually became very favorable. Today, they are one of the main sponsors of Nava Gokula Farm Community and regularly come to help and support the project.
