Riding Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner between Santa Ana & Irvine - 11/29/14
After railfanning at Santa Ana, I decided to take the next available southbound train to Irvine which happens to be Amtrak 580 with F59PHI #454 & CabCar #6907. Although this wasn't an intentional trip, it ended up being a fun quick ride between Santa Ana and Irvine. I then took Amtrak 583 with CabCar #6901 & P42DC #184 from Irvine back to Santa Ana, and surprisingly also had Amtrak P42DC #184 pushing ! In the end, this somewhat disappointing trip turned out for the better. Sorry if the video quality is shaky. I wanted to film the round trip mainly to attain to future railfanning trips, but without the hassle of hauling around my tripod.
